Volunteer to meet people, learn new skills and contribute to the community

‍Volunteering is a great way to meet people, learn new skills and contribute to the community, as celebrated by Volunteers’ Week  (1st to 7th June). RGWN and its member organisations are always looking for volunteers to help promote and run nature-based activities in the Greater Reading Area. Current opportunities include:

  • Assistant treasurer for RGWN (see here for details);

  • Client Gardener Support Volunteers and Minibus Escort for Thrive , in Beech Hill‍;

  • Volunteers to support older people, for Five a Day Garden’s Thyme Together group, in Englefield, on Thursday mornings or afternoons;‍

  • A volunteer to support the project lead at Twyford Growers for their Thursday morning allotment session';

  • Volunteers to help maintain the garden at MERL. Sessions are on Wednesday mornings, 10 am to noon.‍ 

  • GHTV would welcome corporate volunteers to help with specific tasks over the summer
