Free sessions to help with menopause

Posted: Sunday 18 August 2024

Free meditation sessions to help with the menopause on Saturday mornings at the Museum of Rural Life

Free sessions to help with menopause

Thirty-three (33) million women in the UK, at some stage in their life, will experience menopause. Due to a lack of awareness among the public and social stigma, their needs during this critical life change are frequently ignored, or overlooked.
Some women transition smoothly, without any major effects. Others will suffer the most extreme symptoms and endure the massive negative impact these have on their lives. In most cases, symptoms like hot flushes, night sweats, mood changes, poor sleep or brain fog are experienced.
Integrated Research and Development Centre, Berkshire UK, CIC with a mini household support fund from Reading Borough Council is educating and providing advice on menopause for women in Reading. You can contact Janaki jkyastha@hotmail.com to receive counselling services.
We are offering free meditation sessions on 24th, 31st August and 7th September between 0930 – 1200 hrs at Reading MERL, RG1 5EX. During the sessions some exciting games will be played.
Women age group 40 – 65 are highly encouraged to participate.
Join us with a bottle of drinking water, our experienced yoga tutors will facilitate the sessions. Please bring with you a yoga mat, if you don’t have, we will provide you.
